SUSDEV: Turning Sustainable Development Into Youth-Led Action

SUSDEV helps young people connect the Sustainable Development Goals to real challenges in their schools and communities.

Young people participating in the De-YELF SUSDEV sustainable development program

From Global Goals to Local Solutions

Sustainable development becomes meaningful when young people can connect global goals to the realities they experience every day. SUSDEV introduces those connections through practical learning, leadership and youth participation.

What Participants Learn

Participants are encouraged to understand major sustainable development challenges, think critically about local problems, collaborate with others, communicate ideas and develop practical responses.

SUSDEV 1.0

SUSDEV 1.0 focuses on themes linked to SDG 3 — Good Health and Well-Being, SDG 4 — Quality Education, SDG 8 — Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 11 — Sustainable Cities and Communities, and SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals.
