In partnership with GiftedBrain Academy, De-YELF supports a platform where young students strengthen public speaking, critical thinking, confidence and intellectual engagement.
2026 EDITION
More Than 40 Schools. Eight Grand Finalists.
The third edition of the Inter-School Debate Competition brought together more than 40 schools in Abeokuta. Following the preliminary rounds and subsequent eliminations, eight schools advanced to the grand finale held on 29 September 2026.
THEME
Education by 2030
The 2026 competition was themed “Education by 2030”, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which promotes inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all.
Recognition & Achievement
The winners and all participating schools were recognised at the close of the competition, celebrating effort, preparation, confidence and intellectual participation.
Learning Beyond the Debate
The programme also created space for students, teachers, judges and other stakeholders to interact, exchange ideas and learn from one another.
